Homeopathic Art

A couple years ago, I purchased a print of an original painting from a dear friend and artist, Raquel Sanchez.  It was one of the first prints she sold and together we discovered the print wasn’t as either had expected. Raquel generously offered to touch up the print, sharpening the colors and giving it the added vibrancy the print alone was missing. As I watched her mix the colors and submerge herself in art, I felt a strong sudden desire to paint.  “I want to do that” I said to her.

A week later and for several weeks after, Raquel taught me to sketch, observe the subtly of colors in the world, mix colors and then to paint an interpretation of what I saw or imagined.  Unfortunately, this learning was short lived as I was distracted with other pressing matters of life – but not forgotten.

About in the spring of 2017, I picked up the paint brush again.  Searching online for an easy tutorial, I discovered a world of art classes available at my finger tips.  The joy of art was filling my heart and soul again, only this time I was taking it up a notch or two.

After several months of painting flowers and faces and whatever else the tutorials taught me, I realized that the minerals, plants, animals and other substances in homeopathic remedies are the original form of Art. So combining my ever renewing appreciation for Homeopathy with my new found love for Art, I began painting a series of homeopathic remedies.    Each painting attempts to illustrate an aspect of the remedy.  Some paintings illustrate the substance itself, some the effect on the individual and some are a combination of both.

The gallery begins with the first homeopathic remedy proven by Samuel Hahnemann, the father of Classical Homeopathy and continues randomly.  As time goes on, more paintings will be added to the gallery as I study the remedies deeper.  With each new painting, it is my intent to expand my understanding of homeopathic remedies, my  artistic skills and the quality of the photos.

This gallery is dedicated to all my teachers – the homeopaths and the artists.

Thank you,
